My apologies it must seem as though I am bombarding you. I went back and watched your van build regrets and was reminded that you do not want to change any of your original setup for fear of leaks. So, I have come up with one new and several old suggestions for retro fitted fittings to give you the functionality you need. Of course, because they are visible, you will want them to be aestheticly pleasing, and I know you like gold. So, while these fittings are easily found in stainless steel, they will be a little more difficult to find in gold. I am sure a little online digging, perhaps in specialty stores, will yield great results. 1. Obtain a shower mixer to which you can attach your current shower hose for hot water and a hose from your kitchen sink to the shower for cold water. You will need to be creative and affix it to the shower wall without drilling. Glues, magnet strips ? Do not take potluck at the hardware store unless it is a really large store.This one might need a little research and a postal delivery. Unless, of course, you are happy to drill into the wall somewhere. 2. I mentioned this fitting in a previous message. I will run through it again At the tip on your tap, there is an aerator, which is removeable due to the fact that the internal pieces may need to be replaced one day. I would use a good aerator wrench to ensure you do not damage the tap. Buy a good metal one. I tried a plastic gadget, and it was useless. I have a similar tap to yours. After it has been unscrewed, you can screw in a faucet hose adapter diverter. This item replaces the aerator you removed and adds a fitting to attach your shower hose (or handheld bidet tap). The diverter allows you to divert your water supply between the two. Mine is a Sluffs Faucet Diverter. I'm not sure whether it is available there. However, you can look it up to see what I mean. By doing this, you will have a handheld bidet tap which you hang on your kitchen wall. Look for one which can stay on or off hands free they are a little harder to find. This will give you the function of a sprinkler tap when not showering. Then, when you want to have a shower, you simply unscrew the bidet tap and screw the hose into the cold water supply to the shower. Voilà a shower with a hot and cold mixer in your shower recess. Alternatively, you can simply screw and unscrew the aerator when you need to take a shower, or the van is parked unevenly, and you need to use a sprinkler tap rather than leaving the diverter and hose attached to kitchen tap permanently. 3. Shower hoses can be extended with a pipe fitting,Hex Nipple,Shower Hose Extension. Should you need a longer hose for outdoor showering. 4. Get a silicone protective mat for your wooden bench for cooking. A good mat will act as a heat protector for your wood, stop the burns, and protect it from oil splatters. Wipe down and roll away when not cooking. 5. A thought for an oven. Coleman (they make camping products) makes a foldable oven that you could use on your shower/table or alternatively outside, when finished fold and store out of sight. I suggested this to your parents as well. There is a UA-camr I watch who loves to cook and is really pleased with hers. She cooks in her van. I hope you find some of this helpful.
